Linda Wood

Linda Morgan Wood is one of the founding members for the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation’s (NOAH) Washington, D.C. chapter. She began actively participating in the albinism community after the birth of her son Jacob in 1998. A member of NOAH since 1998, Linda is a contributer for Raising a Child with Albinism: A Guide to the Early Years published by NOAH in 2008.
Linda is a member of the National Federation of the Blind, and in 2008, she created TWESI (The Way Eye See It), a Northern Virginia group of parents of visually impaired children who share resources and concerns.
Linda is a member of PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization), an organization that promotes the advancement of women in education. She continues to be an active volunteer in her children’s school PTA and at her church, where she currently serves as the financial secretary for an endowment fund.
Prior to dedicating her time to volunteering and being an activist for various issues, Linda was an auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency.
Linda graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky. She lives in Annandale, VA with her husband and two children.
